It has been a while since my last blog and my idea of initially publishing them monthly has somewhat gone out of the window. Largely this is because of the simple fact that I have not been taking many photos recently. Whilst London has so much to offer - arguably being the prime spot for street photography, portrait opportunities and documentary photography in the UK - I simply haven't been inspired to pick up my camera. I am definitely more comfortable taking pictures from a cliff face or in the surf than in the hustle and bustle of the big city. Nevertheless, I have still managed to get out a few times and try my hand at some street and architectural photography. This edition provides a bit of a summary of the last few months in London and includes a range of different styles. Mostly I have been shooting on film as my Sony is annoying me at the moment (thinking of switching to fuji). Unsure of whether/ how I will continue these blogs next year but there will always be more photos somewhere!

PART I - THE QUEEN"S FUNERAL
These were taken a while ago now but as my first few shots taken in London it is worth including them. Safe to say I picked an interesting weekend to move with the queen's funeral being my first day in London.

Talking of street photography.... Mert (below) has been down to visit a few times to make the most of London's busy streets and is much more seasoned in this style than me! Check out his work @plankingradish and his new phonebook covering the funeral coming soon!

PART II - ARCHITECTURE
Some attempts to replace mountains with buildings...
These were all shot on film and after a long period of shooting digital it is always a joy to go back to film again. Black and White's are all HP5+ 35mm and colour's are Portrait 400 35mm.

PART III - PORTRAITS
After not taking many photos for a few months I was very happy to be invited along to a fun shoot with some friends at Tottenham Court Road Station. Once again these were all shot on film. Sadly, I didn't know how colourful the model was going to be so had black and white in my main camera, relying on my ricoh point and shoot for the colour shots.

PART IV - THE SNOW
The return of my film from the portrait shoot coincided well with some fresh snow to get a few more shots to finish off this edition of the blog. Having thought I didn't manage to get any good shots, some creative edits managed to salvage some nice images.

That's it for this one. When looking back at all of these shots from the last few months, most of the best ones came towards the end. It perhaps looks like there might be some hope for my photography as I continue the new year in London. I am looking forward to working more with some of the new photographers I have met and exploring what London's photo scene has to offer! Stay tuned for whatever might come next.
Happy Christmas!
Rory
